His Purpose is more important than His Power. When the miracle you are praying for is not happening, know that it’s not that He’s powerless but that He’s Purposeful. His power is always displayed through His eternal purpose. Live in His Purpose, then you will witness His Power.
So I’m kinda sick of Facebook humans. We are best at complaining and pointing out what others have done wrong & even best to magnify them. So when KFC fails to provide a decent customer service, we can get so fired up over how sucky their service is and how deserving we as customers are.
No wonder Jesus had to come and save such lousy and prideful humans (emphasis mine).
And when our friends seem to mistreat us whether verbally, physically…..we are good at viewing it on OUR standpoint & feel like we’ve been stoned. What we do next is very understandable (as humans that is) - “I need to let it out & let the whole world know.” (another form of revenge btw) We turn to Facebook & basically try to put up an effort to make us look like we’re the good people & you are the fool to have gossiped behind my back and spread all the unkind words about me. Oh of course that’s not the exact words that we say, but the message reflects it. We’re just good at word choice, word order & writing styles - so that the outcome of my “status” will produce some kind of empathy or sympathy from others toward me. At this point, i really feel an urge to throw up. I really don’t blame God for throwing up when He looks at us.
Oh pride, the things that you lead humans to do when you are hurt…….
So what if your friend really talks bad about you? You forgive & pray for him/her. And of course that’s harder to do compare with pouring our thoughts & emotions out recklessly in hope that we would look like a victim. Even more, we elevate ourselves so to appear to be the “kindest person” when we say things that are targeted to show the wrong of that person and at the same time, we end our rant with “I don’t need you to understand what I’m doing”, “I forgive you & i hope that you’ll see the light one day”, “God bless you”. *throw up already lah*
Yeah sure, if we keep wanting to let things revolve around ourselves, we aren’t gonna grow.

And guess what, you could totally read this and pick up all my grammar mistakes and get nothing out of it. See what pride does?
I’m so sleepy i don’t even care if my writing makes sense, but the message is genuine.
So I’ve learnt that when I live life not for myself but for the people around me - people whom I dearly love of course & for God ultimately, I’d be more focused & motivated to do the right things. Putting up pictures of my family & the future dreams would motivate me to turn away from distractions & focus on doing what I need to do to make my loved ones proud & to achieve my dreams.
When I start doing things (like watching movies all day) that do me no good, that’s when i forget the people around me. Thus, I need to be reminded that I don’t wanna live to feed my own desires, but live to make my family, friends & God proud of me.
